Hi guys!!

I can't believe I am about to say this but we finally finished our film opening, and although it wasn't the easiest, I can definitely say I had fun recording the video and working on the editing. The only tedious thing was starting on the CCR, which I am currently finishing, but to be honest once you start doing your research and have the general idea of how to do it, is not as complicated and tedious, but hey a little word of advice, take your time writing it.

Throughout the production of our film, Mariana and I learned a lot about the production process, and also very importantly how to manage our time correctly to be able to get everything done by the due date, something that will come in handy when we go off to college. We are really excited and happy with the final product, we worked really hard, and even though we had some difficulties along the way, like the weather playing against our calendar lol, or the lighting which we had to work our way around it. In the end, we did our best to be able to share it with you guys!!

As I mentioned before I am almost done with my CCR and I will be recording it in a couple of hours and upload it to my blog. It’s been a really interesting and exciting journey where I had the opportunity to learn and practice some skills about edition and production of film as well as important conventions of the genre thriller which is the one my partner and I chose for our project.

Stay tuned to see my CCR and our video finalized :)

Wish us luck!!!

Hello guys!!

We are done recording our film opening, and we couldn't be happier. Like I said on my last post, we couldn't record the forest part due to weather difficulties, but we, the next day, decided to wake up that 5:30 in the morning and instead of making it a late night scene, we made it a morning scene, and to be honest it looks really good and we are really happy with the things we've recorded.

Now, the next step is start editing, which we have been doing these last few days. We already have some of the second part of our film, we just need to edit the other half which we recorded in the forest. Sadly the lighting of the park was not the best, and even if we add to the brightness, it looks kind of bad, but we are going to simulate that the main character was using the headlights of the car to excuse our poor lighting.

So far the editing has been looking good, the quality isn't the best due to we are on a budget and we do not own the best camera so the quality is a little rough. We are doing what we can to make it as smooth and professional as we can. To be completely honest I am a little worry about the quality of the video because I really want it to look good since it's the last project of the year, but we will see how it ends, we, thankfully, have time to keep adding some touch ups so we are good.

Also, the only thing we are missing for the video is the voice over, which I will be recording in the next day or two. I am not worrying about it too much because it's easy since we already have the script ready and I just need to read it over and we are done with that. After that we will have the extra sound effects, music for the background to add to the mood of the film and we will set, that way next week we will be starting making the script for our CCR.

I will keep you up to date!!

Stay tuneeeed!! :D

Hey guys, quick update!!

So on Monday we started recording the scenes at my partners house, to be honest the shots are really good. We started getting the room ready for the film, we rearranged some things in my partner's room and I changed into a girly look, some of the lighting was poor and sadly when we sat down to edit it we couldn't fix it so we don't have another choice than to work with what we have.
After we finished recording the shots we needed we got everything else ready then we got all the things we needed for the shots that were going to take place at Markham.

Tuesday: Today was the day where we planed on filming at Markham, which means we needed to create our dead person, meaning: fill a trash bag with a bunch of pillows to make it look like a dead person lol. We did it!, it look a little fat and small but hey we tried our best!. So we had our dead person, the shovel and the perfect outfit, but we had a little inconvenient and we couldn't make it to Markham Park because according to our parental figures it's dangerous for us to be alone at night at that park, so we changed our location to a park here in Weston called: Peace Mound Park. At 6:30 we were on our way to the park, and once we started setting up everything it started raining and we thought this is perfect for our scene, but little did we know, we forgot some umbrellas, so we ended up not filming what we needed. But we were productive and started editing the part we already recorded, and we have it ready now, it's just missing some touch ups and music in the background.

Anyway since we didn't get a chance to record the part at the "forest" we will film it tonight, and I will be updating you guys very soon!

Wish us luck so that it doesn't rain!!
Stay tuned! c:

Hello guys, so a little update

Today I woke up early to do some research in music for our film opening, and visiting some websites I decided to stick to two resources that seem to be the more helpful for what we want to use..

Mariana and I haven't chosen a song yet, because we want to film the scene first before choosing the music so we can choose one that is appropriate and matches correctly wit the scene.

We decided to stick with the website Purple Planet: https://www.purple-planet.com/ , the audio library of Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music and we even thought about using some of the sound effects in Imovie/ Wevideo, due there is avariety in these three resources.

Also we were thinking, and for the scene at the forest, we decided to add some foley sounds to intensify some sound like the wind moving the leafs or the bag being dragged through the dirt, to add more to the tension within the scene.

We decided to make, and add the sound at the end once we have all the footage recorded and ready to edit, so that we can match it correctly while editing the scenes.

We will be going shopping for the rest of our stuff very soon and I will be posting some pictures of our extra stuff.

Stay tuned guys and wish us luck!!

I'll be back w/ more info very soon!!!

Hey guys, so I have not so happy news for you..

For personal circumstances, Mariana and I couldn't get together to buy the stuff we needed for the video, but we will get them this weekend.

In the other hand we have been doing some research for our CCRs, and we have been working on some basic stuff to put in them, and also planning out how exactly we want to do it. So yes, in my case I've started the basic script for my CCR, in other words, I've already started the research part of my CCR, regarding some conventions we are using and challenging, and also some distribution plans we have in mind.

I've been doing the research of film festivals here in Florida as part of our distribution plan for our film opening so that it is in a realistic way, and also I've been looking up some other ways to distribute it without having to spend money..since we don't have any lol.

Anyway, those are some basic updates I wanted to let you guys know. We are going to be doing some research for additional music we are going to incorporate in our film opening, and I will be posting the websites we are going to use for royalty free music.

Wish us luck and stay tuned! c:
